HJRES 171 Introduced Re-checks Congress.gov for new actions and updates the bill's status, and fills in any sponsors, committees, or related bills that are missing. It does not re-pull sponsors/cosponsors/committees/related — those rarely change — and it skips all work if nothing has changed upstream, so it's cheap to click.

Summary
The joint resolution would disapprove the Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection's rule that withdrew its 2022 guidance on unfair practices related to returned deposited item fees. If passed, the original guidance would remain in effect. The resolution uses the Congressional Review Act procedure for Congress to overturn regulatory actions.
