Summary

This joint resolution expresses Congress's disapproval of a rule by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau that would withdraw whistleblower protection guidance issued in 2024. If passed, the resolution would invalidate the Bureau's withdrawal rule, effectively keeping the whistleblower protection guidance in place. Under the Congressional Review Act, Congress can pass such resolutions to overturn federal agency rules that were recently issued.
