SJRES 142 Introduced Re-checks Congress.gov for new actions and updates the bill's status, and fills in any sponsors, committees, or related bills that are missing. It does not re-pull sponsors/cosponsors/committees/related — those rarely change — and it skips all work if nothing has changed upstream, so it's cheap to click.

Providing for congressional disapproval under chapter 8 of title 5, United States Code, of the rule submitted by the National Credit Union Administration relating to ``Withdrawal of Fee Reporting Requirements''.
Summary
This joint resolution provides for congressional disapproval of a National Credit Union Administration rule titled "Withdrawal of Fee Reporting Requirements" that was issued on March 3, 2025. Under the Congressional Review Act, Congress is voting to disapprove this rule, which would prevent it from having any legal effect. The resolution references a Government Accountability Office opinion from January 2026 that determined the NCUA action qualifies as a rule subject to congressional review. If adopted, the resolution would nullify the rule's withdrawal of the fee reporting requirements.
