SJRES 151 Introduced Re-checks Congress.gov for new actions and updates the bill's status, and fills in any sponsors, committees, or related bills that are missing. It does not re-pull sponsors/cosponsors/committees/related — those rarely change — and it skips all work if nothing has changed upstream, so it's cheap to click.

Summary
This joint resolution disapproves of a rule submitted by the Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection to withdraw its 2023 bulletin on unfair billing and collection practices after bankruptcy discharges of student loan debts. If adopted, the resolution would prevent the Bureau from withdrawing the bulletin, thereby keeping the guidance on student loan debt collection practices in effect. This is a congressional review action under the Congressional Review Act, which allows Congress to disapprove of federal agency rules.
