Nationwide Injunction Abuse Prevention Act of 2025
To amend title 28, United States Code, to limit the authority of district courts of the United States to provide injunctive relief, and for other purposes.
Summary
This bill limits the authority of federal district courts to issue injunctions. Under the bill, district courts could only issue injunctions that apply to the specific parties in the case or to the geographic territory of that particular judicial district. The bill would prohibit federal district courts from issuing nationwide injunctions that apply across multiple districts or the entire country. The change applies to all future injunctive relief orders issued by district courts.
