To amend title 28, United States Code, to prohibit the issuance of nationwide injunctions from single-judge divisions of U.S. District Courts.
Summary
This bill, the End Judge Shopping Act, prohibits civil lawsuits seeking nationwide injunctions from being filed in single-judge divisions of U.S. District Courts. Instead, such lawsuits may only be brought in federal judicial divisions that have two or more active judges assigned. The bill adds this requirement to federal law governing the jurisdiction of federal courts.
