HR 564 Introduced Re-checks Congress.gov for new actions and updates the bill's status, and fills in any sponsors, committees, or related bills that are missing. It does not re-pull sponsors/cosponsors/committees/related — those rarely change — and it skips all work if nothing has changed upstream, so it's cheap to click.
To repeal the Protecting Americans from Foreign Adversary Controlled Applications Act.
Summary
This bill repeals the Protecting Americans from Foreign Adversary Controlled Applications Act, which was enacted to restrict certain foreign-controlled applications from operating in the United States. The repeal would eliminate any designations of applications as "foreign adversary controlled" that were made under the previous law, rendering those designations void. The bill takes effect retroactively, meaning any such designations would have no legal force or effect going forward.
