HR 3245 Introduced Re-checks Congress.gov for new actions and updates the bill's status, and fills in any sponsors, committees, or related bills that are missing. It does not re-pull sponsors/cosponsors/committees/related — those rarely change — and it skips all work if nothing has changed upstream, so it's cheap to click.
American Privacy Restoration Act
To repeal the USA PATRIOT Act.
Summary
This bill would repeal the USA PATRIOT Act, which was enacted in 2001. It would restore all provisions of federal law that were modified by the PATRIOT Act to their form as they existed on October 25, 2001, the day before the PATRIOT Act took effect. This would effectively undo the changes the PATRIOT Act made to surveillance authorities, search powers, and other law enforcement tools established under that legislation.
