HR 2676 Introduced Re-checks Congress.gov for new actions and updates the bill's status, and fills in any sponsors, committees, or related bills that are missing. It does not re-pull sponsors/cosponsors/committees/related — those rarely change — and it skips all work if nothing has changed upstream, so it's cheap to click.
No Union Time on the Taxpayer’s Dime Act
To amend title 5, United States Code, to eliminate the use of official time by Federal employees.
Summary
The bill amends federal employee law to eliminate the use of "official time" by federal employees. Currently, federal employees who are union representatives can use paid work time for union-related activities; the bill would require all activities relating to labor organization business to be performed during non-duty status (the employee's own time, not paid work time). The bill makes a conforming amendment to update the federal employee law section headings.
