HJRES 183 Introduced Re-checks Congress.gov for new actions and updates the bill's status, and fills in any sponsors, committees, or related bills that are missing. It does not re-pull sponsors/cosponsors/committees/related — those rarely change — and it skips all work if nothing has changed upstream, so it's cheap to click.

Providing for congressional disapproval under chapter 8 of title 5, United States Code, of the rule submitted by the Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection relating to the withdrawal of the rule relating to ``Consumer Financial Protection Circular 2023-01: Unlawful Negative Option Marketing Practices''.
Summary
This joint resolution disapproves of a rule submitted by the Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection that would withdraw a 2023 regulation on unlawful negative option marketing practices. Negative option marketing refers to practices like automatic billing or continuous subscriptions. If passed, this resolution would prevent the CFPB's withdrawal rule from taking effect, thereby keeping the 2023 regulation on negative option marketing in place.
