Providing for congressional disapproval under chapter 8 of title 5, United States Code, of the rule submitted by the Environmental Protection Agency relating to ``Commercial and Industrial Solid Waste Incineration Units: Temporary-Use Incinerators and Air Curtain Incinerators Used in Disaster Recovery''.
Summary
This joint resolution would disapprove an Environmental Protection Agency rule published in August 2025 regarding Commercial and Industrial Solid Waste Incineration Units, specifically temporary-use incinerators and air curtain incinerators used in disaster recovery. If passed, the resolution would invalidate the EPA rule under the Congressional Review Act, preventing it from taking effect. The rule, as submitted by the EPA, would have established regulations for these types of incineration units used during disaster recovery operations. Under the Congressional Review Act, Congress has authority to disapprove federal agency rules within a specified timeframe.
