Providing for congressional disapproval under chapter 8 of title 5, United States Code, of the rule submitted by the Environmental Protection Agency relating to ``Oil and Natural Gas Sector Climate Review: Extension of Deadlines in Standards of Performance for New, Reconstructed, and Modified Sources and Emissions Guidelines for Existing Sources''.
Summary
This joint resolution would provide congressional disapproval of an Environmental Protection Agency rule relating to oil and natural gas sector emissions standards. The EPA rule, published in December 2025, extended deadlines for emissions standards for new and reconstructed sources and issued emissions guidelines for existing sources in the oil and natural gas sector. If approved by Congress, this resolution would nullify the EPA rule, and it would have no legal force or effect.
