Introduced Re-checks Congress.gov for new actions and updates the bill's status, and fills in any sponsors, committees, or related bills that are missing. It does not re-pull sponsors/cosponsors/committees/related — those rarely change — and it skips all work if nothing has changed upstream, so it's cheap to click.

Summary

This joint resolution provides for congressional disapproval of a Consumer Financial Protection Bureau rule that withdrew a regulation about "Buy Now, Pay Later" loans accessed through digital accounts. The original regulation was issued in 2024 under Truth in Lending rules (Regulation Z). The CFPB withdrew this regulation in 2025, but this joint resolution, if passed by Congress, would disapprove that withdrawal and reinstate the original rule. The resolution follows the Congressional Review Act process, which allows Congress to overturn agency rules. If passed, the original CFPB regulation would take effect and remain in effect.
