SJRES 119 Introduced Re-checks Congress.gov for new actions and updates the bill's status, and fills in any sponsors, committees, or related bills that are missing. It does not re-pull sponsors/cosponsors/committees/related — those rarely change — and it skips all work if nothing has changed upstream, so it's cheap to click.
A joint resolution providing for congressional disapproval under chapter 8 of title 5, United States Code, of the rule submitted by the Environmental Protection Agency relating to "Air Plan Approval; Montana; Regional Haze Plan for the Second Implementation Period".
Providing for congressional disapproval under chapter 8 of title 5, United States Code, of the rule submitted by the Environmental Protection Agency relating to ``Air Plan Approval; Montana; Regional Haze Plan for the Second Implementation Period''.
Summary
This joint resolution would disapprove an Environmental Protection Agency rule relating to air quality planning in Montana for addressing regional haze. The rule, published by the EPA on November 28, 2025, pertains to Montana's air plan for the second implementation period of regional haze reduction. Under the Congressional Review Act, if this resolution is approved by Congress and signed by the President, the EPA rule would be nullified and have no legal effect. The resolution would effectively invalidate the EPA's approval of Montana's regional haze plan under that rule.
