HRES 566 Passed House Re-checks Congress.gov for new actions and updates the bill's status, and fills in any sponsors, committees, or related bills that are missing. It does not re-pull sponsors/cosponsors/committees/related — those rarely change — and it skips all work if nothing has changed upstream, so it's cheap to click.
Providing for consideration of the Senate amendment to the bill (H.R. 1) to provide for reconciliation pursuant to title II of H. Con. Res. 14.
H. RES. 566 Report No. 119--179 Providing for consideration of the Senate amendment to the bill (H.R. 1) to provide for reconciliation pursuant to title II of H. Con. Res. 14.
Summary
This resolution establishes the House procedure for considering a Senate amendment to H.R. 1, a reconciliation bill. It allows the House to take the bill with the Senate amendment from the Speaker's table and vote on whether to accept the Senate's changes without points of order being raised. The resolution provides one hour of debate time on the motion to concur in the Senate amendment, equally divided among the chairs and ranking members of the Budget and Ways and Means committees. This expedited procedure is a standard legislative mechanism for resolving differences between House and Senate versions of bills.
