Summary

This bill amends the Public Health Service Act to classify certain supplemental coverage provided to individual health insurance policies as "excepted benefits" under federal health insurance law. Excepted benefits are types of health coverage that are exempted from certain federal health insurance requirements and regulations. The change would allow supplemental coverage offered alongside individual health insurance plans to receive this regulatory exemption classification.
