Rebuilding America’s Airport Infrastructure Act

To amend title 49, United States Code, to make modifications to the passenger facility charge program administered by the Federal Aviation Administration, and for other purposes.

Introduced Jun 5, 2025

Latest action (Jun 6, 2025) Referred to the Subcommittee on Aviation.

Summary

This bill increases the maximum passenger facility charge (a fee airports can collect from air travelers to fund airport infrastructure projects). Starting January 1, 2027, the maximum charge would increase incrementally: to $5.50 in 2027, $6.50 in 2028, $7.50 in 2029, and $8.50 in 2030, with annual inflation adjustments thereafter. Currently, the maximum charge is $4.50. These increases would allow airports to collect more revenue from passengers for airport capital improvements and infrastructure projects.
