HR 2959 Introduced Re-checks Congress.gov for new actions and updates the bill's status, and fills in any sponsors, committees, or related bills that are missing. It does not re-pull sponsors/cosponsors/committees/related — those rarely change — and it skips all work if nothing has changed upstream, so it's cheap to click.
To amend the William M. (Mac) Thornberry National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2021 to prohibit anchoring in certain locations of the Hudson River, and for other purposes.
Summary
This bill amends the William M. (Mac) Thornberry National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2021 to prohibit vessels from anchoring in a specified reach of the Hudson River, except in anchorage grounds that were established before January 1, 2021. The Commandant of the Coast Guard is responsible for enforcing this prohibition. The amendment removes and revises certain existing provisions of that law relating to Hudson River anchorages.
