HR 2580 Introduced Re-checks Congress.gov for new actions and updates the bill's status, and fills in any sponsors, committees, or related bills that are missing. It does not re-pull sponsors/cosponsors/committees/related — those rarely change — and it skips all work if nothing has changed upstream, so it's cheap to click.
Kissimmee River Wild and Scenic River Act
To amend the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act to designate a segment of the Kissimmee River in the State of Florida as a component of the Wild and Scenic Rivers System, and for other purposes.
Summary
The bill designates a restored segment of the Kissimmee River in Florida as part of the federal Wild and Scenic Rivers System. The designated segment extends from approximately 16 miles downstream of Lake Kissimmee to approximately 15 miles upstream of Lake Okeechobee and would be administered by the Secretary of the Interior as a recreational river.
