HR 215 Introduced Re-checks Congress.gov for new actions and updates the bill's status, and fills in any sponsors, committees, or related bills that are missing. It does not re-pull sponsors/cosponsors/committees/related — those rarely change — and it skips all work if nothing has changed upstream, so it's cheap to click.
To amend title V of the Social Security Act to require assurances that certain family planning service projects and programs will provide pamphlets containing the contact information of adoption centers.
Summary
This bill amends the Social Security Act to require that family planning service projects and programs receiving Federal grants must provide patients with pamphlets containing contact information for adoption centers in their region. When a person inquires about medical or abortion services, they must be provided a pamphlet listing all adoption centers in the area along with their addresses and telephone numbers, and given an opportunity to review it. The Department of Health and Human Services is responsible for preparing and annually updating the pamphlets using existing appropriations.
