HJRES 175 Introduced Re-checks Congress.gov for new actions and updates the bill's status, and fills in any sponsors, committees, or related bills that are missing. It does not re-pull sponsors/cosponsors/committees/related — those rarely change — and it skips all work if nothing has changed upstream, so it's cheap to click.

Summary
The joint resolution disapproves of the Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection's decision to withdraw a rule on deceptive marketing practices regarding remittance transfers, specifically related to claims about speed or cost. The rule being withdrawn was known as Consumer Financial Protection Circular 2024-02. If passed, the joint resolution would prevent the withdrawal from taking effect and keep the original rule in place. This uses the Congressional Review Act, which allows Congress to disapprove of federal agency rules.
