Summary

This joint resolution would disapprove and overturn a Department of Homeland Security rule published in December 2024 that increased the automatic extension period for employment authorization and work permits for certain individuals whose employment authorization document renewal applications are pending. If passed, the rule would be nullified and would have no legal effect, returning the employment authorization extension period to its previous level.
