Ms. Rosen introduced the following bill; which was read twice and referred to the Committee on the Judiciary

A BILL

To prohibit Federal funds from being used for certain legal financial settlements, to provide funding for the supplemental nutrition assistance program, and for other purposes.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

This Act may be cited as the “Redirecting Trump Slush Funds to Lower Food Costs Act of 2026”.

SEC. 2. PROHIBITION ON FEDERAL FUNDS BEING USED FOR CERTAIN LEGAL FINANCIAL SETTLEMENTS; SNAP FUNDING.

(a) In General.—No Federal funds, including amounts appropriated under section 1304 of title 31, United States Code (commonly known as the “Judgment Fund”), may be used by any Federal agency—

(1) for any legal financial settlement to the President or for the personal or political benefit of the President; or

(2) to establish or maintain any commission, fund (including the “Anti-Weaponization Fund” announced by the Attorney General on May 18, 2026), or mechanism utilized to provide the compensation described in paragraph (1).

(b) Appropriation.—Out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, there is appropriated to the Secretary of Agriculture $1,776,000,000 to address the high cost of groceries by funding the supplemental nutrition assistance program established under the Food and Nutrition Act of 2008 (7 U.S.C. 2011 et seq.). <all>
