Ms. Rosen introduced the following bill; which was read twice and referred to the Committee on the Judiciary

A BILL

To prohibit Federal funds from being used for certain legal financial settlements, and for other purposes.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

This Act may be cited as the “Redirecting Trump Slush Funds to Support Law Enforcement Act”.

SEC. 2. PROHIBITION ON FEDERAL FUNDS BEING USED FOR CERTAIN LEGAL FINANCIAL SETTLEMENTS.

(a) In General.—No Federal funds, including amounts appropriated under section 1304 of title 31, United States Code (commonly known as the “Judgment Fund”), may be used by any Federal agency—

(1) for any legal financial settlement to the President or for the personal or political benefit of the President; or

(2) to establish or maintain any commission, fund (including the “Anti-Weaponization Fund” announced by the Attorney General on May 18, 2026), successor fund, or other mechanism utilized to provide the compensation described in paragraph (1).

(b) Appropriation.—Out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, there is appropriated to the Attorney General $1,776,000,000, to carry out the Public Safety Officers’ Death Benefits Program under part L of title I of the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968 (34 U.S.C. 10281 et seq.) and the COPS Hiring Program under part Q of title I of the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968 (34 U.S.C. 10381 et seq.). <all>
