HR 7013 Introduced Re-checks Congress.gov for new actions and updates the bill's status, and fills in any sponsors, committees, or related bills that are missing. It does not re-pull sponsors/cosponsors/committees/related — those rarely change — and it skips all work if nothing has changed upstream, so it's cheap to click.
Greenland Sovereignty Protection Act
To prohibit the use of Federal funding to facilitate the invasion, annexation, purchase, or other form of acquisition of Greenland, and for other purposes.
Summary
This bill prohibits the use of Federal funds for any activities to support, facilitate, or finance the acquisition of Greenland by the United States, including invasion, annexation, purchase, or other forms of acquisition. It also prohibits Federal funds from being used to increase the presence of U.S. Armed Forces or U.S. funding and assistance in Greenland beyond the levels in effect on the day before the bill's enactment, adjusted for inflation. The bill further prohibits Federal funding for public or private influence campaigns, whether conducted openly or covertly, intended to affect Greenland's self-determination. Any exception to these prohibitions can only be made through new legislation that explicitly waives the prohibition and cites this act.
