A BILL
To prohibit action to or the use of Federal funds to invade NATO countries and territories, and for other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.
This Act may be cited as the “No Funds for NATO Invasion Act”.
SEC. 2. PROHIBITION ON INVASION OF NATO TERRITORY.
(a) Prohibition on Funding.—No Federal funds are authorized to be appropriated or otherwise made available for the invasion of—
(1) a country that is a member of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization; or
(2) any territory to which Article 5 of the North Atlantic Treaty (commonly known as the “Washington Treaty”) applies, including territory described in Article 6 of such treaty.
(b) Prohibition on Invasion.—No officer or employee of the United States may take any action to execute an invasion by the United States of a country or territory described in subsection (a). <all>
