Veterans Flight Training Responsibility Act of 2025
To amend title 38, United States Code, to provide for a limitation on the amount of entitlement to educational assistance payable for flight training under the Post-9/11 Educational Assistance Program of the Department of Veterans Affairs.
Summary
This bill amends the Post-9/11 GI Bill to establish a $100,000 cap on the maximum amount of educational assistance that veterans can receive for flight training at public institutions of higher learning. The cap would be adjusted annually based on the Consumer Price Index to account for inflation. The limitation would apply to veterans who first pursue a program of flight training on or after August 1, 2026. The bill sets this specific limitation on veterans' flight training benefits under the Department of Veterans Affairs educational assistance program.
