It does not re-pull sponsors/cosponsors/committees/related — those rarely change — and it skips all work if nothing has changed upstream, so it's cheap to click.
Servicemember Retention and Education Advancement Act
To direct the Secretary of Defense to conduct a study on the feasibility and advisability of establishing a uniform policy to provide tuition assistance after on year of active duty service.
Summary
This bill directs the Secretary of Defense to study whether the Department should establish a uniform policy providing tuition assistance to military servicemembers after they complete one year of active duty service. The study should assess the feasibility and advisability of implementing such a policy. Within one year of enactment, the Secretary must submit a report to Congress describing the results of the study and identifying any barriers to implementing a tuition assistance policy. The bill does not establish a new tuition assistance program, but rather examines the possibility of doing so.
