HR 4631 Introduced Re-checks Congress.gov for new actions and updates the bill's status, and fills in any sponsors, committees, or related bills that are missing. It does not re-pull sponsors/cosponsors/committees/related — those rarely change — and it skips all work if nothing has changed upstream, so it's cheap to click.
St. Louis RECA Readjustment Act
To amend the Radiation Exposure Compensation Act to include additional ZIP Codes with respect to claims relating to Manhattan Project waste.
Summary
This bill expands eligibility for compensation under the Radiation Exposure Compensation Act (RECA) by adding two St. Louis ZIP codes—63106 and 63107—to the list of areas affected by Manhattan Project waste. Residents of these areas would become eligible to claim compensation for radiation exposure related to that waste. The change takes effect retroactively, as if it had been included in the original 2023 law that established the current RECA framework.
