HR 4453 Introduced Re-checks Congress.gov for new actions and updates the bill's status, and fills in any sponsors, committees, or related bills that are missing. It does not re-pull sponsors/cosponsors/committees/related — those rarely change — and it skips all work if nothing has changed upstream, so it's cheap to click.

Summary
The bill amends federal law to add Parkinson's disease to the list of illnesses and diseases that are presumed to be caused by employment in fire protection activities. This change would make federal firefighters who develop Parkinson's disease eligible for workers' compensation benefits under title 5 of the United States Code, treating the disease as an occupational illness connected to their fire protection work.
