HR 432 Introduced Re-checks Congress.gov for new actions and updates the bill's status, and fills in any sponsors, committees, or related bills that are missing. It does not re-pull sponsors/cosponsors/committees/related — those rarely change — and it skips all work if nothing has changed upstream, so it's cheap to click.
Seventh Amendment Restoration Act
To authorize the removal of an action from an administrative law judge of any administrative agency to a district court of the United States.
Summary
This bill authorizes persons involved in administrative proceedings before an administrative law judge to remove their case to a federal district court. The removal process would follow the same procedures used for removing cases from state courts to federal courts under existing law. The bill defines agency hearing officer to include administrative law judges and other agency employees authorized to hear cases. This change would allow individuals the option to have their administrative matters heard in federal district court rather than before an agency hearing officer.
