HR 3258 Introduced Re-checks Congress.gov for new actions and updates the bill's status, and fills in any sponsors, committees, or related bills that are missing. It does not re-pull sponsors/cosponsors/committees/related — those rarely change — and it skips all work if nothing has changed upstream, so it's cheap to click.
To amend title 23, United States Code, to remove the exclusion of the State of Minnesota from certain contracting for engineering and design services requirements.
Summary
This bill amends federal highway law to remove Minnesota from an existing exclusion in contracting requirements for engineering and design services. Currently, both West Virginia and Minnesota are excluded from certain federal contracting requirements under title 23 of the U.S. Code. The bill eliminates Minnesota's exemption, leaving only West Virginia excluded, which would subject Minnesota to the same engineering and design services contracting standards as other states for federally-funded highway projects.
