HR 2641 Introduced Re-checks Congress.gov for new actions and updates the bill's status, and fills in any sponsors, committees, or related bills that are missing. It does not re-pull sponsors/cosponsors/committees/related — those rarely change — and it skips all work if nothing has changed upstream, so it's cheap to click.

To amend the Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act of 1996 to require all Federal contractors to participate in the E- verify program.
Summary
This bill would require all federal contractors and their subcontractors at every level to participate in E-Verify, a program that confirms employees are authorized to work in the United States. The requirement would apply to contractors in both executive and legislative branches of the federal government. Currently, E-Verify participation is voluntary for most employers. The bill amends the Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act of 1996 to make participation mandatory as a condition of holding a federal contract.
