HR 4638 Passed House Re-checks Congress.gov for new actions and updates the bill's status, and fills in any sponsors, committees, or related bills that are missing. It does not re-pull sponsors/cosponsors/committees/related — those rarely change — and it skips all work if nothing has changed upstream, so it's cheap to click.
Federal Working Animal Protection Act
Summary
This bill amends the Immigration and Nationality Act to make it grounds for inadmissibility and deportation if an alien has been convicted of harming animals used in law enforcement. Aliens who admit to committing such acts, or who admit to committing acts that constitute the essential elements of such an offense, would also be subject to these provisions. The bill applies to violations of federal law regarding harm to law enforcement animals. An alien found to have committed such an offense could be deemed inadmissible and therefore ineligible to enter the United States, or could be deported if already in the country.
