HR 2046 Introduced Re-checks Congress.gov for new actions and updates the bill's status, and fills in any sponsors, committees, or related bills that are missing. It does not re-pull sponsors/cosponsors/committees/related — those rarely change — and it skips all work if nothing has changed upstream, so it's cheap to click.

Summary
This bill requires congressional approval before any federal official—including the President or federal agency heads—may sell, dispose of, declare as excess or surplus, transfer, or convey federal property with historical significance. It defines covered property as any federally owned land, building, structure, monument, or site that is or has ever been listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Before taking such action, the federal official must notify Congress and obtain approval via a joint resolution. The requirement applies to all types of disposition actions, not just sales.
