HR 1052 Introduced Re-checks Congress.gov for new actions and updates the bill's status, and fills in any sponsors, committees, or related bills that are missing. It does not re-pull sponsors/cosponsors/committees/related — those rarely change — and it skips all work if nothing has changed upstream, so it's cheap to click.
To rescind certain unobligated balances relating to charging and fueling grants and national electric vehicle grants.
Summary
This bill would rescind (cancel) unspent federal funds from two electric vehicle charging programs: the charging and fueling grants program and the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Formula Program established under the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. The rescinded funds would be deposited into the general Treasury for deficit reduction rather than used for their original purpose of expanding EV charging infrastructure.
