Unplug the Electric Vehicle Charging Stations Program Act
To repeal programs relating to funding for electric vehicle charging infrastructure, and for other purposes.
Summary
This bill repeals two federal electric vehicle charging infrastructure programs created by the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. It eliminates the Charging and Fueling Infrastructure Grants program and terminates the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Formula Program effective on the date of enactment. The bill also rescinds any unobligated funds that were previously appropriated for these programs and prohibits any further spending on them. These programs provided federal grants and formula funding for states to build out EV charging infrastructure across the country.
