Congressional Apportionment Amendment Deadline Act
Establishing a ratification deadline for the Congressional Apportionment Amendment.
Summary
This joint resolution establishes a December 31, 2026 deadline for ratifying the Congressional Apportionment Amendment. The amendment would become part of the Constitution only if ratified by three-fourths of state legislatures by that deadline. Any ratifications occurring after December 31, 2026 would not count toward adopting the amendment. The resolution asserts that Congress has the constitutional authority under Article V to impose such a ratification deadline.
