Providing for congressional disapproval under chapter 8 of title 5, United States Code, of the rule submitted by the Environmental Protection Agency relating to ``Trichloroethylene (TCE); Regulation Under the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA)''.
Summary
This joint resolution would disapprove an Environmental Protection Agency rule regulating trichloroethylene (TCE) under the Toxic Substances Control Act that was published on December 17, 2024. If passed and signed into law, the EPA rule would be nullified and have no legal effect. This is a Congressional Review Act disapproval action, which allows Congress to reject recent federal regulations within a limited timeframe. The rule cannot be reissued in substantially the same form without further Congressional action if disapproved.
