A BILL
To require the Secretary of Agriculture, in consultation with the United States Trade Representative, to develop and finalize a vaccination strategy for poultry.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.
This Act may be cited as the “Avian Flu Vaccination Strategy Act”.
SEC. 2. VACCINATION STRATEGY FOR POULTRY.
(a) Determination of Strategy.—Not later than 180 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, to address highly pathogenic avian influenza, the Secretary of Agriculture, in consultation with the United States Trade Representative, shall develop a strategy for the vaccination of poultry that is in compliance with all applicable rules of the World Trade Organization.
(b) Finalization of Strategy.—Not later than 1 year after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary of Agriculture shall finalize the strategy developed under subsection (a). <all>
