S 4045 Introduced Re-checks Congress.gov for new actions and updates the bill's status, and fills in any sponsors, committees, or related bills that are missing. It does not re-pull sponsors/cosponsors/committees/related — those rarely change — and it skips all work if nothing has changed upstream, so it's cheap to click.
Food and Nutrition Delivery Safety Act of 2026
To amend the Food and Nutrition Act of 2008 to establish online and delivery standards, and for other purposes.
Summary
This bill amends federal food and nutrition assistance law to establish standards for online and delivery services related to SNAP benefits. The Food and Nutrition Service must develop standards for online and mobile platforms used for SNAP purchases, addressing digital privacy and cybersecurity concerns. The bill also requires standards for delivery services to ensure fair working conditions and safe food transport. Retailers and wholesalers must report their compliance with these standards, and those that fail to comply will lose authorization to participate in SNAP, though they may reapply once compliant.
