S 3686 Introduced Re-checks Congress.gov for new actions and updates the bill's status, and fills in any sponsors, committees, or related bills that are missing. It does not re-pull sponsors/cosponsors/committees/related — those rarely change — and it skips all work if nothing has changed upstream, so it's cheap to click.
Hemp Planting Predictability Act
To amend the Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agency Appropriations Act, 2026, to delay the implementation of amendments made by that Act to the hemp production provisions of the Agricultural Marketing Act of 1946.
Summary
The bill amends recent appropriations legislation to delay implementation of amendments to hemp production rules. Specifically, it extends the implementation timeline for amendments to hemp production provisions in the Agricultural Marketing Act of 1946 from 365 days to 3 years. This gives hemp producers and regulators more time to prepare for and comply with the new production requirements.
