Hemp Planting Predictability Act

To amend the Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agency Appropriations Act, 2026, to delay the implementation of amendments made by such Act to the hemp production provisions of the Agricultural Marketing Act of 1946.

Introduced Jan 13, 2026

Latest action (May 20, 2026) Referred to the Subcommittee on Forestry and Horticulture.

Summary

This bill delays the implementation of hemp production amendments that were included in the Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agency Appropriations Act of 2026. Rather than taking effect 365 days after enactment, the amendments would be delayed for 3 years. The extended timeline would allow more time for hemp producers and regulators to prepare for the new production requirements.
