S 2749 Introduced Re-checks Congress.gov for new actions and updates the bill's status, and fills in any sponsors, committees, or related bills that are missing. A bill to exempt Medicare from any sequestration under Statutory PAYGO that is caused by the One Big Beautiful Bill Act.
To exempt Medicare from any sequestration under Statutory PAYGO that is caused by the One Big Beautiful Bill Act.
Summary
This bill exempts Medicare programs from automatic spending cuts that would otherwise result from the One Big Beautiful Bill Act under the Statutory Pay-As-You-Go budget process. The exemption applies to any sequestration orders issued after the bill's enactment that are attributable to the budgetary effects of that legislation. This protects Medicare from reductions that would be triggered as a consequence of that other law.
