To amend the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 to prevent the use of funds under such Act to teach or advance concepts related to gender ideology, and for other purposes.
Summary
The bill amends the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 to add a new prohibition on the use of federal education funds. Specifically, it prohibits schools receiving federal funds under the Act from using those funds to teach or advance concepts related to "gender ideology," as defined in Executive Order 14168. The definition of "gender ideology" is taken from that Executive Order, which addresses the federal government's position on gender-related concepts. The prohibition is added to the existing list of restrictions on how federal education funds may be used.
