To modify buy-to-budget requirements for end items, and for other purposes.
Summary
This bill modifies federal law governing buy-to-budget requirements for military defense systems. It amends Section 3069 of Title 10, United States Code, by removing certain conditional language and subsections that currently restrict how agencies can adjust defense procurement when costs exceed budget allocations. The changes streamline the process for acquiring defense end items by simplifying the requirements agencies must follow. The bill removes multiple subsections of the existing law and restructures the remaining provisions.
