Nulhegan River and Paul Stream Wild and Scenic River Study Act of 2025
To amend the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act to designate the Nulhegan River and Paul Stream in the State of Vermont for potential addition to the national wild and scenic rivers system, and for other purposes.
Summary
This bill directs the Secretary of the Interior to study the Nulhegan River and Paul Stream in Vermont to determine if they should be added to the national wild and scenic rivers system. The study covers approximately 22 miles of the Nulhegan River and 18 miles of Paul Stream, including their associated tributaries. The Secretary must complete the study and submit a report to Congress within 3 years of receiving funding. The report will assess whether these river segments meet the criteria for designation as wild and scenic rivers. The bill does not automatically designate these rivers; it only authorizes the study to evaluate their potential inclusion.
