Stop Antisemitism on College Campuses Act
To amend the Higher Education Act of 1965 to prohibit institutions of higher education that authorize antisemitic events on campus from participating in the student loan and grant programs under title IV of such Act.
Summary
The Stop Antisemitism on College Campuses Act would amend the Higher Education Act of 1965 to require institutions of higher education that receive federal student loan and grant funding to certify that they will not authorize, facilitate, provide funding for, or support events promoting antisemitism on campus. The bill defines antisemitism using the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance's working definition adopted in 2016, including the Alliance's contemporary examples of antisemitism. Institutions that fail to comply could lose eligibility to participate in federal Title IV student loan and grant programs.
