Stop Antisemitism on College Campuses Act
To amend the Higher Education Act of 1965 to prohibit institutions of higher education that authorize antisemitic events on campus from participating in the student loan and grant programs under title IV of such Act.
Summary
This bill amends the Higher Education Act to require colleges and universities participating in federal student loan and grant programs to prohibit authorizing, facilitating, or funding events that promote antisemitism on campus. The bill defines antisemitism using the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance's working definition adopted in 2016, including its contemporary examples. Institutions that violate this requirement would lose eligibility to participate in federal Title IV student loan and grant programs. The prohibition applies to any event promoting antisemitism that an institution authorizes, facilitates, provides funding for, or otherwise supports.
