HRES 10
Introduced Re-checks Congress.gov for new actions and updates the bill's status, and fills in any sponsors, committees, or related bills that are missing. It does not re-pull sponsors/cosponsors/committees/related — those rarely change — and it skips all work if nothing has changed upstream, so it's cheap to click.

HEALTH Act

Amending the Rules of the House of Representatives to establish a Committee on Health as a standing committee of the House.

Introduced Jan 3, 2025

Latest action (Jan 3, 2025) Referred to the House Committee on Rules.

Summary

This resolution establishes a new standing Committee on Health in the House of Representatives. The committee would have jurisdiction over biomedical research and development, health care and facilities supported by federal revenues (excluding veterans' medical care), and public health and quarantine matters including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The resolution also makes conforming changes to the jurisdiction of other committees, removing health-related responsibilities from the Committee on Energy and Commerce and excluding health insurance programs from the Committee on Education and the Workforce.
